€2m Enterprise Ireland Competitive Start Fund have two calls now open until 18 August 2020.
Call One: €1m Women Entrepreneurship Competitive Start Fund
With up to 20 potential investments, a place on INNOVATE Women Entrepreneurship Accelerator, as well as mentoring support on offer, this Women Entrepreneurship Call invites applications from women entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial teams and existing early stage start-ups with a woman who has a place on the lead management team and who owns or will own at least 25% of the voting share capital in the start-up. The project must be active in the Manufacturing & Internationally Traded Services sectors.

Call Two: €1m All Sectors Competitive Start Fund
Up to 20 potential investments and mentoring support on offer, this All Sectors Call invites applications from entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial teams and existing early stage start-ups active in the Manufacturing & Internationally Traded Services Sectors, including but not restricted to, eligible companies that offer services and solutions to address challenges and opportunities with regards to Climate Action with an emphasis on decarbonisation.

Applicants Can Apply for One of the Above Calls ONLY
Maximum Funding Available: selected companies will receive a maximum investment of €50,000 for a 10% ordinary equity stake in the start-up company. The investment shall be released in two equal tranches. The Company will be required to secure additional equity investment of €5,000, from promoters or external investees, prior to the release of EI’s first tranche.
Call Close Date: will close for applications on Tuesday 18th August 2020
